Weekend trips part 2

Yesterday we drove to South carolina to visit our good friends. We arrived in the evening and enjoyed a delicious breakfast for dinner that Daniel cooked. This morning we enjoyed watching horse and cat internet videos before starting our day. Lance and Buffy took Aria to a Revolutionary War site just down the road. We had a great time wandering around the field and buildings. Aria loved meandering around. Nichole, Daniel and Adam joined us later. After a nice lunch at Chili's for veterans day we said good bye and headed back home.

She's still wearing it

I'm so proud of my silly wife. She put her mind and body to achieving a big goal that not everyone does. She is so happy to be finished with her training And the 1/2 marathon.  She can still be seen wearing her medal around the house. Right now she is cooking with it on.

Aria having a ball

We where at target and she kept yelling ball ball ball. So I set her up on one.

Mayberry

Buffy ran her first 1/2 marathon today, the Mayberry half marathon "no hills no glory." We camped at pilot mountain in 28F weather with Aria crying all night long with a possible tummy ache.

Of course the race had a lot of hills and Buffy couldn't feel her legs but she finished the race. Lance, Aria and Rue provided much needed support and treats along the way.

After the race we spent a few hours seeing famous sites including having lunch at Snappy's Lunch, meeting "Floyd" the barber and touring downtown in a mule drawn wagon. What a great little trip. Buffy still hasn't taken off her medal.

29f at the start.
2 hrs 44 min. Not bad not bad at all.
She still had energy to pick up Aria after a 1/2 marathon.
