End of the year camping
We went after Christmas camping with our awesome friends the Browns. Friday evening was very cold and the tent dwellers felt it all night. We had an electric heater in our trailer though, so it was nice and cozy. Saturday the kids caught a 17.5" big mouth bass. Lance cooked it up and Aria got to eat it. She loved it. Lance successfully fished out his frisbee that was thrown into the lake and the dog refused to retrieve. Saturday night we prepared for a little overnight rain. Well a little turned into a lot and while the trailer was once again cozy, the tent dwellers were flooded out. We left the campground before 9am but we all had a fun trip!

Filleting the bassIf you look closely you can see Lance's tackle box floating underneath the trailer.

Merry Christmas
We've had a great Christmas filled with lots of friends. Yesterday on Christmas Eve we went to a very fun Christmas gathering with several different families. I feel like the holidays mean much more when you're surrounded by friends. We had such a great time visiting and watching the kids run around. The Prices brought wonderful nativity costumes and the children acted out the first Christmas. Aria was a wandering wiseman.
Today we had a quiet morning watching Aria open and play with presents. When she came down the stairs she saw a wooden train set, a Rapunzel doll in a stroller and Rapunzel's horse Maximus. Aria was very interested in all three and took an exceptionally long look at the train set before grabbing the stroller and pushing it all around the house. In the afternoon we joined with a few more friends for Christmas dinner- ham and fried chicken. Yum! Too much good food. We were able to visit with our families back home via facetime. As always we wouldn't mind being a little closer to grandma's and grandpa's but we've been especially blessed this year with so many wonderful friends.

A cold walk to remember
Buffy and Aria took Rue out for a training walk. It's a little chilly outside.
Christmas around the world
We had a fun ward Christmas party last night. Lance was an elf for Santa, taking pictures and Buffy was in charge of the Russian/Ukrain room. Aria's job was to run arround an be adorable. She kept going from the Ru/Ukraine room to the Mexico room to the USA room.
