Food Challenge Winner!

Aria is finishing a food challenge for soy. She previously had tested positive for a soy allergy but 2 weeks ago tested negative. Her allergist suggested a food challenge to add soy to her diet. A food challenge consists of sitting in the allergy clinic and eating the selected food in increasingly larger portions for a few hours. If no reaction occurs then the food is deemed safe. Aria just ate her last portion of edamame (soy) and is looking great! We started by giving her soy milk and she was not a fan of it. We switched to edemame and she ate all of it then asked for more. Adding soy to her diet really opens up a lot of new food possibilities since many dairy replacements use soy. Fake cheese here we come!

Visitors

We had a great time with our friends, the Bowcutts, visiting from Fort Bragg. I think we about killed them off with all the site seeing. We visited Gettysburg on Friday, DC on Saturday mistakenly during the Cherry Bloom Festival and Fort McHenry on Monday. Aria had a great time with the kids.

Watching general conference King Benjamin style

We were little surprised to see how big our new tent was, and that it fit in our living room.

Comings and goings

We've gotten so bad at blogging that at this point any post is better than nothing. Today Aria and I went to a play group, the aquarium and then a friend's house for dinner. What a good way to keep busy while Lance is gone. At the aquarium we saw scuba divers feeding the fish and dolphins throwing footballs in and out of their pool. We were even adventurous and found free parking, then took a bus in the snow.

The last couple weeks we had a good time spending a week in Logan and then a week with Wendy. It was lots of fun to see Aria playing with cousins. We hiked a little, looking for gold, and took some cute pictures that I'll work on posting.

Up next week is a big birthday, and unfortunately lots of doctor appointments including an endoscopy for Aria. She lost about a pound this last month because she was sick and now she's refusing to eat solid foods. Not quite where we'd like to be but she is still a little firecracker with lots of energy!!

A few pictures from our trip. I have lots more to look through and post.

Fish!!!

We dpent the evening at the National aquarium. Lots of fish and a very happy little girl. Despite staying up late she was in a great mood to see dolphins, jellyfish, sharks, puffins and of course lots of fish.
